Deep in the Sacred Valley, one of the most popular settings among canoeing fans. Several stretches to cover: Calca - Urubamba and Huambutio - Pisac (clases II and III; Ollantaytambo (clases III and IV). Between December and March, Cusipata route with class III rapids in the roughest part and Chiquicahuana: class IV rapids recommended.

You will get there by road from Cusco to Pisac or Cusco to Huambutio (33km/21mi); 45 min per stretch. Cusco - Cusipata (81km/50mi).

Itinerary : Urubamba River Rafting

FULL DAY: Cusco- Rio Urubamba- Cusco.
Duration: 0900hrs – 1700hrs

At 9:00 AM You will be transfered to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The guide will give you an introductory presentation on safety and equipment for our trip running the Urubamba River. We will raft for aproximately 2 ½ hours in Class II, III.IV+ and V rapids, depending on which route we select. We could select Huambutio, Class II, Ollantaytambo Class III (May to December), Quiquijana IV and V (Dec to May).

The Quiquijana rapids are the hardest, that is why we always take a safety kayak with us, so it means one extra guide just for your safety. After lunch we return to Cusco, arriving at around 5:00 PM.
